What is Google looking for on your site so they give you a good placement in
the search? There are all sorts of pundents out their that say they know, but there are
only two or three Google Employees that really know.
Generally they are looking for an interesting site rich in content, that lots of people will go to.
The site must have relevant "key words" and the key words must appear not only in the
headings of the web site in the appropriate place, but it must also have these key
words in the body of the web sits. We can go into key words later but for right now
lets switch to Google Add's and Google Add Words.
You can also place an add on Google. They appear in the right margin of a search.
Lets say some one is lookingfor a "roofer" to put a new roof on their home. They
might Google somthing like "roofer,City#1", "roofing,City#1", "tear of roof,City#1".
You can go to Google Add words-set up an account-, set up a budget, then bid
on specific key words. They might look as follows:
You set your bid for each of the 3 key words above. You might bid .50, $1.00 or $1.30.
Each time a search is made with the above key words and you win the bid, you place
#1,#2 or maby #3 on that page. Your add is their. If some one clicks on your add
and goes to your web site, you are charged the agreede upon fee.
